About

A question we often get is what makes a digital image collectible. For us the answer is simple: every series is a closed edition, files arrive at full resolution, and each purchase comes with a record of which piece in the series is yours. Once a series is gone, we do not reprint it — on screen or on paper.
Rekurzio is a Budapest studio working in contemporary digital art. We make animated works, GIFs and prints — pieces built to hold their own both on a screen and on a wall. Every series is a closed edition, made in our own workshop from the first sketch to the finished file. We are not trying to please everyone: we would rather make fewer works and make them properly. If something in the collection caught your eye, or you have a commission in mind, write to us — we answer most questions within one working day.

FAQ
How large are the editions?
Every series is a closed edition, and the number of pieces is listed on the product page. Once a series sells out we do not reprint it — on paper or digitally.
What exactly do I get with a digital purchase?
A full-resolution file, supplied as both GIF and MP4 for animated works. The download is available immediately after purchase and comes with a licence for personal use.
Can I use the works commercially?
A purchase covers personal use. Commercial use — publications, products, campaigns — requires a separate licence; write to us and we will discuss the terms.
